This policy explains what we collect when you use ThisRupt, why, and the choices you have. We aim to handle your information in line with Nigeria's data-protection law (the NDPA/NDPR).

1. What we collect

When you sign in and play, we collect:

• Your Google account basics (name, email, and profile image) via Google sign-in.
• The social handles you add, so we can confirm your follows.
• Your gameplay: attempts, scores, timings, points, streaks, referrals and team membership.
• Basic technical data (such as device and log information) needed to run and secure the service.
• Payment-related details you provide when a prize is being paid out.

2. How we use it

• To run the challenge: sign-in, scoring, leaderboards, streaks and teams.
• To confirm follows and to announce and pay winners.
• To operate referrals and team standings.
• To contact you about challenges, results and reminders, and - only where you allow it - marketing updates.
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with providers that help us run ThisRupt - for example our payment provider to pay prizes, and the infrastructure and email providers that host and deliver the service - and only as far as they need it. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

4. Marketing messages

Service messages (results, reminders, prize and account notices) are part of running the challenge. Marketing messages are separate: you can opt out of those at any time, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages.

5. Cookies and sessions

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use them to track you across other websites.

6. Keeping your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it to run the challenge, pay prizes, resolve disputes and meet legal and accounting duties. When it is no longer needed, we remove or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete your account and associated data, or object to certain uses. Contact us and we will respond in line with the applicable law.

8. Children

ThisRupt is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
