Challenge rules

1. Who can play

You must be 18 or older and legally able to take part in a free-to-enter prize challenge where you live. One account per person - duplicate or automated accounts are removed and any prizes are forfeited.

2. How the Noon Rush works

On each challenge day the board opens for a short window at midday (West Africa Time). You get one attempt. The clock starts when you open the challenge, so only begin when you are ready. Your score is the number of correct answers; a perfect sheet answered fastest wins the day. Where scores tie, the earlier submission ranks first, then the shorter completion time. There is one winner per challenge day.

3. Points and streaks

Points are awarded for turning up, for correct answers, for finishing among the first ten with a clean sheet, for referrals who play, and for keeping a daily streak. Points decide the monthly standing. We may adjust or reverse points obtained through error, abuse or a technical fault.

4. Follows

You must follow ThisRupt on at least one of our social platforms to be eligible for a prize. Follows are confirmed by hand before any prize is paid. If we cannot confirm a follow, the prize may be withheld or passed to the next eligible player.

5. Prizes

The daily winner receives $10 USD. If the winner was referred by another player, that referrer receives $5 USD. Prizes are paid to the winner after their details and follows are verified, using the payment provider we nominate. We may substitute a prize of equal value where necessary.

Prizes have no cash-alternative beyond what is stated, are not transferable, and are subject to any tax or charge that applies to you. Teams do not receive cash prizes - team play is for standing, badges and recognition only.

6. Referrals

Your referral code is for inviting real people you know. Self-referrals, fake sign-ups, and incentivised or purchased sign-ups are not allowed and will void the related points and prizes.

7. Teams

Anyone eligible can create or join one team at a time. A team's captain can edit the team's identity and manage its members but cannot change points, winners or rewards - those are calculated from members' own play. A team's points are the points its members earn while on the team, plus any team bonuses. Team standings and any "Team of the Week" recognition may be adjusted where we find abuse. We may suspend or disband teams that break these rules or use offensive names or imagery.

8. Fair play

No bots, scripts, shared accounts, answer-sharing rings, or any attempt to manipulate scores, timing, referrals or team standings. We may review any attempt and disqualify results we believe are not genuine.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account, withhold prizes, or remove a team where these rules are broken, where we suspect fraud, or where required by law.

10. Changes

We may update these rules as the challenge evolves. The current version always lives on this page, with the date above.
